Im feeling a little discouraged. My friend and I had the same starting weight and goal weight and shes losing weight so much faster than me. Were both eating right and walking. I have PCOS in 8 weeks ive lost 16 lbs. Which is 2 lbs a week. I heard thats a healthy loss and will help avoid loose skin but im so discouraged because her weight is just fallin off. advise?
Congrats on losing 16lbs! You're doing awesome! Don't compare your journey to others, just focus on you.
Women and Men have to stop comparing their bodies to others. Trust me it is hard to do! The important thing is that you’re losing weight! You’re taking the necessary steps to better your health and that in itself it an amazing journey! Also, PCOS makes weight loss very difficult. I don’t mean to discourage you but it is an obstacle you will face. There are guidelines for healthy eating for those suffering with PCOS to help get the weight off so do some research and maybe some tweaks here and there will help! You’re already a step ahead because you chose to get healthy! Keep it up!
Sounds like you are doing awsome! Congrats on the loss thus far!😄 Though it is difficult at times, try not to compare your journey with anyone else's. Focus on You and all of your accomplishments is my best advice🙂
16 lbs is an amazing weight loss.. dont get discourage you’re doing an amazing job.. my mom had sugery done and my cousin too she was feeling down because he lost 50 lbs much faster then her. so i started talking to her and encouraging her .. he used to eat mostly fatty foods my mom was more home
cooked big difference in eating so the
change of course had a lot to do with it.. Do not give up. You’re an inspiration to others.
two pounds a week is wonderful. Don't compare your journey to someone elses, it is only yours. I think you're doing  great. Mine is slow but steady and I'm not seeing sagging skin and maybe that's your advantage.
Two pounds per week is perfect! You should feel great about that progress! I know personally how difficult it can be to lose weight with PCOS, so I say celebrate! You're doing great! Find the positives and reasons to celebrate rather than the negatives and how you wish things were for you. You'll not only be more successful that way but much happier overall! Good luck, girl!
I have pcos as well and that rate sounds good! I'm currently losing myself about 2-4 pounds a week give or take but then again I'm 5'4 and I am also on a eating plan my Dr and nutritionist made for me. Every woman with pcos is going to be built different. I would use a tape measure and track the inches instead of tracking pounds on the scale.
Focus on yourself. Your journey. Your fitness and your health. It's great to have someone to help you along and give you motivation throughout. But never compare yourself to someone else. It's always you vs you! You're doing great 👍🏼 keep up the amazing work
I have pcos too. It's so hard. Refined carbs and sugars process significantly slower in our bodies due to insulin resistance and hormone imbalance. 1 slice of bread for us equals 6. You're doing a create job. Slow and steady weight loss means more long term success. Keep up the great work!
You're doing great, don't compare yourself to your friend, just stay focused and motivated to lose more, remember, rapid weight loss is not healthy thus weight gain will be easier to achieve, which you don't want for yourself.
