How did you all choose your goal weight How accurate is Bmi I've heard mixed reviews

I’m at that point in weight loss where my clothes are getting baggy but I’m not comfortable with buying new dress clothes yet (I’ve lost about 30 lbs but have at least 50 to go).I’m just so frustrated with these baggy clothes that I don’t even want to lose weight anymore. It makes me feel sloppy and frumpy. Has anyone else gone through this? Advice?

I went through this. I cried in the fitting room because I thought it would be different somehow. I went home and wore pjs for 6 months. They were too damn big but I was too damn scared to commit to smaller sizes. When I finally bought smaller clothes I went from large to x small. From size 10-2. (To be fair I hadn’t put on the 10’s in months...) I had to spend $2,000 on clothes that month.

Yes I’ve gone through that! I bought only like 2 pairs of pants in the middle of my journey just so this way I wasn’t losing my pants and a couple shirts so I didn’t look so frumpy. Helped with my motivation as well and this way I didn’t spend a ridiculous amount on “middle of my journey” clothes lol. I saved it for the end

Thrift stores are the way to go but somethings can be tailored too. Bring your favorite pieces to a seamstress and see if she can help you. Sometimes its better to spend 5-15 dollars to tailor something than to buy a whole new article of clothing

Yes I know the feeling! I went to the thrift stores and bought a few things. My clothes was doing the same. I went to a few thrift stores to buy some that fit. When I get to where I want to be then I will buy new clothes.

When I lost all my weight, I shopped at thrift stores. I also LOVED when my clothes were baggy, and the day my pants slipped right off me--thankfully in my home. You have worked so hard, treat yourself to some good thrift store clothes, then splurge when you get to goal! Awesome job!

What I learned is don't buy a lot of clothes only a few an then once ur at weight u wanna be at wait an make sure u maintain it before you buy whole wardrobe. I did that like a dummy an gained all the weight back so this next time I will not be buy clothes till I know I can maintain it

Yes! I just buy staple items, either at a discount or from second hand stores. I also will buy things that may be too small now but are too good of a deal to pass up. I make sure I have a pair of jeans, black pants, and khakis that fit well at any point. Also, try clothes that are free size, such as wrap dresses and skirts.

That’s crazy, buy new clothes, it’s what you have been working for, it will make you feel good, lift your confidence. Anything you buy and then need to go down a size keep in case u go off the rails at some point. Just don’t spend a fortune. Why walk around feeling yuk? Haven’t we all had enough of that?

Shop at Goodwill, that way you're not paying a fortune for new clothes that will eventually become too baggy. You'd be surprised at the nice things you can find there (at least at the one I shop at)

I used to buy slightly smaller clothes and eventually the sightly smaller clothes became very big. Soy advice is save your money, and wait. Unless of course you need something then just go for it. But I wish I didn't buy some stuff that I did, especially like jeans. I guess I was just so excited that I could fit into a certain that I just bought it, but honestly out of all my friends only one told me not to buy it if not done and I didn't listen to her, I should have though.

I love having baggy clothes when I first started I didn’t think I could do it and kept buying clothes 1 grand later I have clothes I cannot even put on with out them falling off soooo I found a cheap dress maker to change them into new and tighter clothes some I made smaller other clothes I made into new ones and some dresses I made into tops hahah it’s fun actually just gotta get creative
