How do you stop yourself from eating unhealthy when you’re home alone ?



Never eat while watching TV, ONLY eat at the table with out distractions- NO TV...it does work. I have done it before but now need to make it a life long commitment, that's the catch


Go back to your childhood days when you used to play "the floor is lava"....when you are alone, the kitchen floor is lava. Can't go in there or you're gonna burn up. lol It sounds silly, but the little bit of a laugh and distraction will help.


Get all the yummy no good for you things out I had a lot of Little Debbie cakes in my house now I have those Fiber One cookies Fiber One brownie bites with caramel the Special K protein bars raspberry bars very good you just got to get used to them and the part about eating is if you're at home sitting down all day watching TV that was me I would want to eat when I wake up I drink coffee eat my whatever and then I get up and do stuff clean house clean out a cabinet switch clothes around in the closet go outside walk around I have a two-year-old so it helps will grow in a block for me it will get triggered from sitting at home alone with my two year old so I started doing stuff around the house even if it did not eat clean it I will clean it again

I do a lot of snacking on healthy stuff like peanuts, pop corn, fiber bars, protein bars, greek yogurt, fruit. If I'm truly not hungry, I will allow myself to snack on healthy, low calorie snacks and just eat it slowly which is usually satisfying enough for me. After that, if I still have the urge to keep snacking, I will walk my dog, jog, or something to keep my mind off it. While I'm out, I will think about what to do when I get home to keep my mind occupied like read a book, clean, whatever--so that way I have something to do right when I get home. That's what helps me anyway.

Make your daily lunch and snacks ahead of time like at the beginning of the week decide what you want to eat for lunch , and snacks , package them up in the amounts you are allowing your self, make sure to allow calories for snacks and pre make them and have them in the fridge

You have to find strength in yourself. I went to pay my electric yesterday and they had yummy fresh baked candy sitting out. I wanted it ALL but I knew the guilt id feel so I walked away. It’s mind over matter.

Dont buy anything that you'll regret eating later! 

If you cant eat something healthy then dont eat nothing at all!
Food is fuel not entertainment!

Distract yourself & keep busy. My worst habit was binge eating when alone & watching tv. Now if I want to watch tv, I do a couple loads of laundry and fold it all together to distract me. Or do crunches and squats. Keep that bad food far away! You always tell yourself, well just one bite or two pieces but it won’t stop there! Trust me... Pre-make healthy, low-carb/cal lunches, snacks or smoothies for when you’re actually hungry & snack on ice or gum if it gets too much

Its called binge eating, due to loneliness or emotional stress
Surround urself ur favourite fruits and nuts
Once u have eaten ur breakfast or lunch or dinner and d pang to eat unnecessarily, den start chewing on ur favourite nuts or fruits
Fruits like apple,strawberry,cucumber ,DAT gives u a kind of fullness
Nuts like cashew but,bambara nut

first thing I tell people is to get rid of any food in the home that would hinder your progress. If you surround yourself with bad food you're going to eat bad food. Purge your pantry of all the junk and replace with healthy options!! :)


If there is going to be some junk food in your house because of all those other people living there, and you have to have some, I would only have a small handful with a low amount of calories, then get on with your day.

Keep healthy options in the house for you. Plan your meals & snacks ahead of time, whether you meal prep, or just have it written down. Track your food intake. It helps keep you accountable to yourself.

Don't buy unhealthy food. If it's not there you can't have it. Now if your down the street from 7-11 it can be difficult but then you hope laziness kicks in so you don't go grab something lol.
